Room Dining Things





Adagio:  A word of Italian origin used to designate a part of a musical piece that presumes a calm and paused movement. We shall use this vocabulary as a simile to reproduce how a dining room service should be during a “pass” of food where all the participants should act like an orchestra in an auditorium.
In the meter and the “beats” lies the trick and the treatment. When wanting to speak about lunch, the moment in the day where one has lunch, dinner or a brunch and fills the stomach, nourishes and feeds oneself whilst savouring at the same time. The rhythm is an essential element, the excessive promptness in the service is nearly too damaging as the endless delay. A musical piece is not conceived with sharp and abrupt musical beats.

 














In the honour that we are provided with by the clients for selecting us, it is our obligation and duty to compensate and appreciate their presence. From the moment they cross the door, the concerts begins. After years of rehearsal and dedication, all the musicians are prepared to delight the dinner guest with the most beautiful melody.
The director retouches his baton on the music stand and the music begins to be heard, this must be a festival of emotions. All the emotions are submerged, the brain begins to receive information and incentives in a flash mode and it is our responsibility that all these emotions are as pleasant as they could possibly be.

Fortunately nowadays gastronomy has made a large qualitative leap so that the clients that come to our restaurants tend to have a decent gastronomic knowledge and it is the self-demanding attitude in our dining room service the key to their satisfaction.

Our physical appearance, standardisation, cleanliness and above all the manner is the prelude of the presentation of what will occur next. Not only the presentation but during the entire performance and finale. About all these essential parts we shall talk about in upcoming entries.
All the restaurant personnel have a distinct role just like each musician has their instrument, moment and beat. Dining room service might act a little like the shadow by the principal soloist’s master piece (the chef). It requires a creator to implement their work just like the artist needs a stove, a spoon, a head cook or a head waiter. An extensive orchestra in perfect synchrony.

This is my presentation letter done with all the humility emerged in my continual learning stage that I find myself I would like to invite you all to learn the passionate world of the dining room service. From all the points of view, all the cultures and corners of the world.
